Revenue Growth Technique for Clinics No. 9: 4 Tips To Exhibit Your Clinic At Local Events

One of the most powerful sales techniques I used to grow my first business LIFT Enrichment from $0 to $10 million was to exhibit my company at local conferences.  

Clinics can use that same technique, but in a different way to attract new patients.

If you’re a clinic in Dubai, here are some my tips to get your name out there into your local community

Tip 1)  Get A Sponsored Booth At Local Fundraisers and “Event Activities”

Recently, I completed the Burj2Burj half-marathon, which is a 21km run from the Burj Khalifa that ends at the Burj Al Arab.  At the finish line were a variety of sponsors with booths and giveaways.

As a clinic, you can exhibit at events like this.

There are many “health” related events going on throughout Dubai.  A quick google search I did listed things like: “Ramadan games,”  “Run Clubs”  “5ks” and so much more.  

Your job is to find the most local events that are close to your clinic and exhibit there.  

Other types of events include art walks, food festivals and cultural events.

Tip 2)  Setup Your Booth and Include An “Exciting Offer”

Your checklist for a Booth could include:

  • Large table banner with your clinic’s logo
  • 2 Large stand up banners showcasing your clinic
  • Flyers
  • Tri-fold brochures
  • Business cards
  • Branded t-shirts

And so much more!

You’ll have to work with a branding agency (I know a few good ones if you need help) to make sure it looks attractive and exciting.

With this “branding” kit, it’s a one-time purchase that you’ll be able to use at any event.  

Your main focus should be to get email and WA contacts in exchange for an “Exciting Offer,” which I go over in detail in a previous post.

Once you collect dozens of contacts, you now have people to email, call and Whatsapp to turn them into new patients and get a good ROI on your marketing spend.  

Tip 3)  Bring Your Friendlist Staff To The Event and TRAIN Them Before

You could have the owner, clinic manager and 1 or 2 of the friendliest receptionists be the people to attend.  

These people should be passionate about your clinic AND be very people-friendly.  You want to send staff that are outgoing, charming and, obviously, with a good smile!

When they attend, you need to spend some time “training” them because this is a marketing event with a purpose: get contacts!

Write up a quick script (which I can help draft, if needed) that says what to say and how to say it.

It could be something like:

“Hi!  Would you like to get an offer for a free whitening kit from ABC Dental?”

Then when they walk, over the next part could be:

“It’s good to meet you!  I am (name and position) and I was curious, are you looking for a new dentist?  We have an amazing offer for new patients.”

Then make sure you have an ipad or QR code ready to get that patient’s contact info.

I recommend a QR code that asks for their first name, email and WA. 

Having prospects write down their info is problematic, because if their handwriting is difficult to read, then you’ll lose the contact.

Tip 4)  Giveaway something small and fun at your booth

At your booth, you could have things like free branded toothbrushes, pens, floss, etc to give away.

One clinic I visited had “healthy energy balls” made out of dates, peanut butter, agave and oats.  The package had the clinic’s name on it.  And they were delicious!

You want to have something unique that stands out.

People like food and snacks!  

Just make sure it’s not junk food 😉
