The competition is fierce if you’re a dental clinic in Dubai, and a strong social media presence can help you stand out.
I’ve met with dozens of clinics over the past few months.
You can literally walk down Umm Suqeim and talk to one clinic, walk a block and talk to another.
There is a lot of growth in Dubai, and thus there’s more demand for dentistry.
You could be the BEST dentist with the most amazing equipment, but if your social media presence is bland, you’re losing on a chance to attract new patients.
I’ve spent a lot of time and money growing brands, like LIFT Enrichment, my 8-figure company that teaches healthy cooking classes to students at low-income schools. I also grew my personal brand on Youtube with a variety of videos, including one that went viral with 480,000 views (it’s about making cauliflower rice) Another video about my day in the life as an entrepreneur in Poland hit over 7k.
I really enjoy creating content, particularly written content (like this post) and video.
Here are my 6 tips to help any clinic grow their social media
Tip 1) Post 3x a week
I see way too many clinics whose Instagram is updated very irregularly, often as little as once every 1-1.5 weeks. How are you going to stand out when others like Dr. Joy Clinic or Cornerstone Clinic are updating multiple times a week? People check your instagram and it either gets them MORE excited to join your clinic, or slightly deters them.
Tip 2) No stock images
In 2025, it’s so easy to take a REAL picture, and when a prospective client sees some generic stock image, it’s unattractive. You need good pictures that show your staff, your equipment, a smiling patient, etc. You can easily get enough pictures for a month in just a few hours with a photographer and have an incredible amount of variety.
Taking stock images and putting your logo or a fun fact over it is boring. Don’t do it!
Tip 3) Video is essential
Statistics show that consumers respond to VIDEO far more than static posts. You can have some static pictures and posts, but you must have some video.
A short reel could be about something like:
- The owner introducing himself or herself to new patients
- A dentist sharing 4 tips to improve your brushing technique
- A dental nurse discussing new ways to whiten your teeth
- A happy patient who got 2 crowns fixed and improved his or her smile.
These are very easy to film, but they require editing because you want to have some nice music, captions and cuts that make it interesting and exciting.
Tip 4) Aim To EDUCATE and ENTERTAIN
In the previous points, I mentioned educational items to share with your patients.
People LOVE to click on mildly “click-baity” titles that offer 4 tips to IMPROVE YOUR GUMS or 3 ways to AVOID CAVITIES DURING THE HOLIDAYS. You can make TONS of content this way. (5 secrets to get your kids to floss! 4 things to know when bringing your kid to the dentist for the first time)
I could go on for days.
But you also want to add entertainment!
Think about your favorite social media accounts, and how they provide useful information AND exciting content or stories or ideas that keeps you watching
Here is an example: This clinic has a fun little reel using the “Friends” theme song to show their fun side. It even creates a sense of comradery.
Here are some ways to add “entertainment” to your social media reels:
- Have you clinic manager share a “dental joke” with your receptionist
- Make a fun and easy dance for your clinic to do.
- Use some exciting music, like the theme to James Bond, and have the owner and his wife walk up the camera and introduce themselves, the clinic as they are looking very stylish and chic
A lot of the original “entertaining” ideas come from me working with the clinic and getting to know the personality of the owner and staff.
Tip 5) Focus on 3 Platforms to start: IG, Facebook and Linkedin
By the far the most important platform is Instagram, followed by facebook and Linkedin. You should have business profiles for all of them and when you post, encourage your staff to repost on their personal accounts (especially Linkedin) to generate more traffic and interest.
You can also create one piece of content and repurpose it across all three platforms. But you have to know the differences between each one.
I.e.: Instagram doesn’t allow any links and has a limit on the description, but on Linkedin and Facebook you can include a lot of text and pictures.
On all 3 you can include short form video content and posts.
Tip 6) Batch Your Content (and Hire help!)
You shouldn’t be creating and posting content each week, because it’s not efficient.
If you want to post 3x a week on all the platforms, that’s 15 pieces of content a month.
A month has 4.3 weeks and each week needs 1 reel and 2 static posts. You can round up to 5 weeks and that’s 5 reels and 10 static posts.
Here is an example of what I would have a client prep if my company Clinic Assist did their social media:
5 Reels
- The owner of the clinic introducing himself, the clinic and a few key staff
- The clinic manager sharing 3 unique elements of the clinic that are different from others
- A patient sharing a video testimonial of how much they liked their recent consultation or treatment
- A dentist sharing 3 tips on common mistakes patients make while brushing at home.
- A montage video of the entire staff individually waving and smiling at the camera with their names and positions and the song “You’ve Got A Friend” in me playing in the background that ends with a call to action to come visit the clinic
5 Static Posts
- A closeup of a container of floss held by a dentist with the text “3 Ways To Improve Your Flossing At Home”
- A picture of the clinic manager talking to a patient and a description that introduces the clinic manager and his or her background
- A picture of a piece of dental equipment that the clinic wants to highlight with a key reason (i.e. same day crowns make your life easier because you don’t have to wait 2 weeks between treatments)
- A “before” picture of teeth that are ugly and an “after” picture showing them clean, white and nice looking
- A picture of a recent 5-star google review
And there are many more posts to create… but I save those for my paying clients. 😉
